Bodecare has a keen interest in contributing to the preservation of the environment, which is why reusable cloth bags have been introduced for all brushes; minimal packaging is attached to save on paper and reducing plastic where-ever possible.

Jodie designs all new products for Bodecare and has set criteria in respect to the environment that must be adhered to before committing to production, they are:

The use of eco-friendly material. E.g. The new Bodecare Brush bags for the Japanese Body brush and Bean Nail brush with coco bristle, are made of flax material. Flax is a natural fibre, grown in temperate regions with one of the lowest level of herbicide, pesticide and fungicide making flax plant one of the most eco-friendly yarns around the world.
Packaging should have minimal impact on the environment. Biodegradable and Recylable packaging is key. The plastic bags which the products are packed in are made from a low density, soft flexible plastic, which are recyclable.
Timber should come from a managed sustainable forest or be recycled. Bodecare's suppliers use sustainable forest timber, and bristles are from plants like Agave, Coconuts, flax which grow rapidly and require little to no pesticides to produce. The new foot spa pumice brushes are hand made of recycled timber by a fair trade company.

Our Suppliers

We have strict criteria with our suppliers. We want to know that sustainable sourced products and recycling procedures are used wherever possible.

Our Chinese and Philippines manufacturing partners have committed to us that all employees are over the age of 18, labour laws are enforced and that only sustainable sourced wood and textiles are used. In particular our Philippines manufacturer uses recycled wood and fair trade conditions for their staff.

Bodecare checks and double checks quality of products before production and then checks again when goods are being packed. We take on all feedback about the products from our customers and use it to improve for future production. We want to make sure that only the best quality raw materials and ingredients are used and will not accept sub-standard merchandise that is not value for money.

Our stationery printer plants one native Australian tree for every order of business cards to stop climate change and work towards a carbon neutral future. Trees planted are guaranteed for 70 years.
